Amy Pyle and I cooked up Lettuce Talk after years listening to citizens hungry to be heard by their City Commissioners.

Amy, Candidate for Zone 3, and I are committed to this monthly meeting and it is our hope that other Commissioners will join us.  We envision a free-flowing dialogue between citizens and Commissioners; an opportunity to listen to each other and to discuss issues in depth.  Our goal is to improve transparency and understanding between the citizens and their elected officials.

 

The details will depend on Sunshine laws (we will have legal parameters in place), citizen and Commissioner participation, and, of course, the outcome of this election.

 

This experiment may prove an unwieldy event, a resounding success, or an opportunity to eat a lot of salad alone.  Time will tell.
